On the surface, Houston may seem like the cheese capital of the world, with all thecover bands that populate the Richmond strip. However, if you look real hard, you willfind that there are several good venues in town that support original music, sponsoringlocal, regional, and even national acts. Here is a list of some of the clubs that I havebeen to that are known for great live music:

Occasionally bands will come to MusicHall (810 Bagby, Downtown) and there are always the big acts that come to TheSummit (10 Greenway Plaza, I-59 and Buffalo Speedway) and CynthiaWoods Pavilion (Woodlands).
